I am the spiritual formation pastor at Parkview Christian Church, teacher, “tiny farmer”, husband, father, reader and stumbler living in the ‘burbs of southwest Chicago. I enjoy writing various things including articles, blogs, poetry and songs.
This blog is a place to muse, rest, think, work out, and generally deal with the realities that come from following Jesus. The content is meant (hopefully) to stir up some conversations and insights, so I invite you to post and think along with me.
Grace and peace.

Be blessed..
Recently you gave a sermon about walking a line. Please when you have time refresh my memory to the exact lines of your sermon. I enjoyed the sermon Thanks very much
Hal-
Yeah, I was talking about how we tend to think we have it all figured out as to how to order and live our lives but our lives always run into a wall – whether it’s failure or simply our own mortality. So, when Jesus asks us to follow Him (walk the line he paints) we are walking with someone who went through the wall of mortality, rose from the dead and invites us to do the same.
I used texts from Matt. 16:24, John 10:10 and 1 Corinthians 1:12.
Hope that helps! Have a great day!
